My last journal predicted I would only update once a year, and while it's technically only been 10 months, my prediction was more or less accurate. Last year I seemed to be in a little bit of an art funk, and as we're just around the corner from August this year miraculously it's the opposite. Despite being horrendously busy at my job, newly married, and just moving into my first house, I've had a hell of a lot of ideas for art pop into my head. It helps that I've been re-watching a lot of old series I used to love, and have gotten caught up on another *cough*FMA: Brotherhood*cough*. I just need to get more time on my hands to really get into my fan art once more.
My only downside of moving with my hubby, is I really don't have access to a scanner anymore, so the quality of my images is going to take a bit of a hit. I need to rely on my digital camera and the "photoshop" on my laptop in order to post any of my work. I'm sure soon my darling and I won't be so house poor that we can't afford a computer and printer/scanner, but I have to work with what I've got. It sucks though because it means I won't be able to submit some of my work to certain clubs anymore, even though I've seen some of them accept OBVIOUS photos of art work when they claim they don't and it pisses me off. Although no matter how irritated I get by such things, I'm not going to be one to stir the pot, I'll spread my love in other ways.
Until next year all!

Yearly Update?
Yeah, like the title says, I'll probably only put an update on this thing once a year, I just don't have the time anymore. Never mind I don't see the point since all of my original watchers and people who bothered to look at this have all deactivated their accounts ^^;
I've just been perusing the site though, and really lamenting my lack of motivation to draw these days. I come home so exhausted from work lately that I can't possibly imagine picking up a pen and paper... but I look at all the artists progressing and drawing the things that I love and ask myself, "why aren't you doing that, you used to think this was fun!" There are at least
GALLERY OVERHAUL SUMMER 2013!!!
Well, it has been brought to my attention that I have not necessarily been uploading my deviations properly. When trying to submit a piece of fan art to a club I belong to (I refuse to name it as I do not wish them to be harassed) I discovered that when submitting a piece of art and stating you have used a reference, you must include a link to the image you referenced to draw the image. I have been a member of this website for eight years now, I used to do COPY art for heaven's sakes, and this was NEVER brought to my attention, EVER. Whenever I would upload any fan art to my gallery I would state whether or not I referenced it and give proper
Cosplay Meme Thing...
Stolen from: ~RavenDunbar (https://www.deviantart.com/ravendunbar)
Q: What is your cosplay alias?
A: Uh, at conventions? It's Rebecca or Becky, I always introduce myself by name. However, on cosplay.com my alias is "Ai no Miko"
Q: How many years have you cosplayed?
A: I've been cosplaying since 2003... so wow, we're coming up on ten years now. That's crazy XD
Q: How did you get into cosplaying?
A: My first anime convention. I had dressed up as an anime character for Halloween a few months before I attended, and I wanted to wear it to the con I was going to really badly. However, I thought only a select few people cosplayed and I was worried about people looking at me lik
An Interesting Discovery...
I've inadvertently made a fascinating discovery in regards to the kind of art I produce and perhaps where I should focus more of my energies. It looks like I need to write more. My most recent upload, a poem for Black Butler called "Devil in a Tailcoat" has had more views in 4 days than some of my deviations have had the entire time they've been on this site (in some cases 6 years!). It's also almost up to 75 favourites (only 2 more and it'll be there). None of my deviations have even had a HOPE if making it that high, EVER. Granted I know Black Butler is crazy popular right now, so that definitely has something to do with it... but even wh
