This was taken in 2006 on my trip to Japan. I believe it was an iris in the gardens at Himeji Palace, but sadly, I do not remember. All I know is that I saw this beautiful flower, and I knew I needed to get a picture of it. I think this is one of my all time favourite flower photos.
